Citation Review Commission
This Commission is presented with the facts of a violation, and will determine the merit of the citation based upon the evidence before them.  In certain controversial or special circumstances, a specific appeal may be assigned to BOD executive session.  This Commission shall also make policy and/or rule recommendations as they apply to rules enforcement when ambiguity is present. This commission usually will meet once per month on a Saturday morning and shall be closed to public attendance as per the Illinois Open Meetings Act.

Communications Commission
The Communications Commission tries to promote Candlewick Lake in a positive manner and to improve communications both within (i.e. Website, E-Blasts, Sunshine Boards) and outside the community.  We also contribute to the information added to the Candlewick Lake newspaper. The meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month at 11am in the conference room of the Admin Building.

Environmental Control Committee
This committee, using its expertise, approves all new residential construction applications, site improvements and miscellaneous construction applications that are submitted by the lot owner or builder.  This committee may refuse to grant permission to construct, place or make the requested improvement when the plans, specifications, drawings or other material submitted. This Committee shall meet on the first and third Wednesdays of each month except January and February in which there will be one meeting with the date to be announced.

Events
This commission is responsible for developing, planning, organizing and implementing yearly event’s for the residents of Candlewick Lake. Meetings will be held the first Monday of the month at 6:30pm at the Rec Center Lakeview Room.

Finance Commission
This commission, using its expertise, should be able to identify and track trends and weaknesses in local and national financial markets and make recommendations to the Board in its monthly monitoring reports.  The commission will also use its expertise in making policy recommendations as they apply to financial controls including annual assessments of members.  This commission shall track and recommend policies related to the Capital Reserve plan. This Commission meets the Monday prior to the BOD meeting which is usually the 3rd Monday of the month 5:30PM at the Admin Office.

Golf
This commission will work under the direction of the Commission Chairperson and in cooperation with the Golf Course Manager and the General Manager.  The Golf Commission responsibilities are to investigate and make recommendations regarding the promotion of play at the golf course; establish and oversee management of golf leagues and provide input and recommendations for generating income and budgeting for improvements.  Meetings will be held monthly on the first Wednesday of every month unless additional meeting are required.  All meetings will be held at an approved Candlewick Lake venue.

Lake Management Commission
To provide advice and recommendations to the Board of Directors and the General Manager on matters regarding lake, shoreline, dam and watershed, water safety, boating and other lake-related recreational activities. To make recommendations regarding fee and budgetary considerations.  To work on special projects approved by the Board of Directors for protection and enhancement of the lake and watershed. Meetings will be held monthly on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Rec. Center unless additional meetings are required.

Public Safety Commission
The purpose of the Public Safety Commission is to make recommendations to the Board of Directors and the General Manager on all matters related to the public safety of the Candlewick Lake residents. Such matters may include, but are not limited to both day and night time safety services; policies relating to public safety; civil defense matters; disaster preparedness; emergency evacuation; enforcement of existing rules and regulations in accordance with the Association’s governing documents; and to make recommendations and provide feedback for newly proposed rules as needed. Meetings are to be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5 :30 p.m. located in the conference room of the Administration building.

Recreation Commission
This commission, using its expertise, should be able to identify trends and weaknesses in programs and make recommendations in fee structures for usage of the pool, fitness center and locker / showers rooms to the Director of Parks and Recreation in it’s monthly meeting or monthly report. The Recreation Commission will also use its expertise in making policy and fee recommendations to the Board of Directors as they apply to the utilization of Candlewick Lake Associations Parks and Recreation Programs.
