The Lake
Whether you come to Candlewick Lake for a weekend, extended stay, or a lifetime, you will enjoy the combination of natural beauty and healthy activities.
Perhaps the biggest draw to Candlewick Lake is the lake itself, with its 210 acres of water for fishing, boating, and water sports.
Our Association works with State Officials to assure optimum water quality and to monitor our fish populations. The Lake is stocked regularly and is always ready for fishing.
7 ½ miles of shoreline surround the lake, which includes many common areas and parks from which you may try your angling skills or share the fun of fishing with your children.
If you prefer to be on the water, slip your boat into the Lake from one of our 4 paved and lighted boat launches and cast out your fishing line: Muskie, Northern Pike, Catfish, Crappie, Blue Gill, Perch, Bass, and Walleye are all waiting for you.
Our shoreline is kept natural in many locations, not only to reduce shoreline erosion but to encourage a tranquil setting that invites numerous species of waterfowl such as Blue Heron, Coots, and a variety of ducks.
Residents and their guests gather at the Lake for year-round activities. Summer fun in the sun may include swimming, skiing, taking a leisurely cruise with friends, exploring the lake by kayak or canoe, fishing, participating in fishing tournaments, sunbathing on the beach, or simply enjoying the abundance of wildlife that visit and live around the Lake, to name a few.
In Winter the Lake stays active as ice fishing begins and fishing huts pop up. There is also ice skating as well as other activities and events. And as winter winds down we even have a Polar Plunge!
Our Lake is at the heart of our community and offers a variety of year-round fun and activities to enjoy. We hope to see you there!
